Public music colleges for guitar?

I’ve noticed that most colleges that teach guitar are expensive and private. Are there any public colleges that can teach guitar at the same level without the high tuition fees? I want to come out of a school that gives a me the knowledge to be a versatile professional guitar player with out putting myself through insane amounts of student loan debt.

Go to a local community college. Should be very cheap, like $30-50 one semester.)
