What these knobs and buttons do on my guitar and amp?

Hey.I got my guitar and amp , the guitar is a Squier Fat Strat and the amp is a Fender Frontman 15G amp.i havent started lessons yet so i do not know what all these knobs and buttons do on my guitar and amp , heres a list of the knobs and buttons

On my guitar : Volume , Tone and Tone (has two tone knobs )

On my amp : Normal Volume , Gain , Drive Select , Drive Volume , Treble , Middle and Bass

And also , should i get a tuner ? Because i found an online tuner…

O i forgot , theres a slidey knob thing and i think it makes the volume high or lower..

On your guitar:
The volume knob controls how loud the guitar is
The slidey thing which you refer to switches between the pickups on your guitar (these are the things that pickup the tones from the strings they are the rectangular shaped things with the dots on them underneath the strings on the body), having it all the way to one side will select one pickup then all the way to the other will select the other far pickup then in the middle will select the middle pickup. Then one of the tone knobs adjusts the tone for one of the pickups and the other one adjusts it for the other. The tone knobs adjust the amount of bass or high end frequencies there are in the sound coming from your guitar.
On the amp:
Normal volume is the volume for when you’re playing clean (no distortion). Gain is the INPUT volume of your guitar into the amp, drive select will select different types of distortion (or drive) and drive volume is the OUTPUT volume from the amp. Treble, Middle and Bass are all equalization knobs, turn the bass up for more bass in the signal and same applies with middle and treble or turn then down for less of the frequency in the signal.
And yes i would recommend getting a tuner, what if you need to tune your guitar and don’t have access to the internet?
