What are some good beginner’s guitars electric guitars?

I have my eye on the Epiphone Les Paul Special 2 and the Squier by Fender Bullet Strat. Are these good for beginners? What do you think I should buy? My budget is in between 100 and 200 dollars. I also need an amp. I want something in the lower price range but I want it to be high quality sound. Help me please

Those are both great choices for a beginner.
For an amp, the small Vox Valvetronix options are great and excellent prices too. The 5 watt version would be plenty for now.

Now, for 100 or 200 bucks it may be hard to get all that. You may need to get the guitar first and the amp later when you get more money. Check out some used stuff though….never know what kind of deals you can find.
